It was the year 2000. It was on a hike, just before the frosty snows would set in for the winter, that Brent came across an opening in the woods. As he entered the foggy clearing, a beautiful old log cabin homestead revealed itself to him... Bt 2001, with a warmed heart and rekindled spirit, Brent went to work creating the recipes for a breakfast cabin restaurant that would welcome guests the way his grandmother always had done... By 2002, As hungry hikers and mountain visitors found their way to our first log cabin, more followed. Word spread like syrup on a pancake. So, two more of our now-famous cabins were built to welcome guests to our Flapjack’s in Gatlinburg. In 2003, when Southern Living set out to find the “South’s Best Flavors,” they chose breakfast at Flapjack’s. They were especially fond of our “delicious pecan pancakes.” Grandmother would be so proud. By 2013, in a national search for the best pancakes in America, Delish.com voted our pancakes Best in the State. From Southern Living’s Best in the South to a national honor - we’re just glad you like us. Now, in 2015, weve opened our first Knoxville location. It’s our same Flapjack’s flavor only without the drive to the mountains! We’ve made it easier for our Knoxville friends to visit!
